Bookplanet: contenders for oddest title of year

Last year the Diagram Prize for Oddest Title of the Year was taken by the manual Bombproof Your Horse, following 2003's winner The Big Book of Lesbian Horse Stories. Contenders this year: Short Walks at Land's End. Living With Sheep (from blurb: "Why sheep? Because sheep have lambs. Because sheep are soft and fuzzy and can't kill you with a kick or butt. Because a leg of lamb stuffed with garlic and rosemary and slowly roasted will bring you the apex of culinary achievement.") Prophets Facing Backward. End-of-Life Decision Making. The Feckin Book of Irish Sex and Love That's Not Fit for Dacent People's Eyes. A Field Manual of Camel Diseases. Scouting for Boys (a Michael Jackson favorite). Knitting with Dog Hair. How To Toilet Train Your Cat. What Bird Did That? A Driver's Guide to Some Common Birds of North America. And: Flattened Fauna, "the definitive guide for the millions of people who seldom see a wild animal that has not been flattened by dozens of vehicles and baked in the sun to an indistinct fur, scale or feather-covered patty".
