It's OK to flirt at work

A Wuppertal judge finally proved that Germans know how to have fun at the office when he decided to uphold the right of Wal-Mart staff in Germany to flirt at work. In the case against Wal-Mart’s code of conduct relating to employees’ love lives, alcohol and drug use, brought by the company’s works council, the court found the clause banning “any kind of communication that could be interpreted as sexual” contradictory to German labor law. Wal-Mart’s German office had no immediate comment, but may still appeal the decision. It is also expected that the ruling could impact other US-based companies with personnel in Germany.
