Harriet Miers nomination: what it means

Nothing mysterious about Bush's nominating his White House Counsel to replace Sandra Day O'Conner as Supreme Court justice. The explanation is real simple. The Incompetent Chimp has lost his nerve. All he can do is appoint someone he knows from way back, someone he trusts who is a friend and is not going to cause any shit for him. He's nervous as hell, that's why he's turned to his nanny.
