Faulkner to hit best-seller lists

Oprah's Book Club yesterday declared the coming season the summer of Faulkner, naming his novels "As I Lay Dying," "The Sound and the Fury" and "Light in August" as its picks for June, July and August. The Sound and the Fury? That's some complicated modernist reading. Fuck me with a stream-of-consciousness time-shift. What next? Ulysses? Finnegan's Wake? They should give Oprah a lifetime award for her services to literature.
