David Frost to work for new English Al-Jazeera

The Arab news network Al Jazeera, which announced in July that it was planning an English-language satellite channel, has signed the channel's first high-profile personality: the veteran British broadcaster David Frost. In a statement issued Friday, Al Jazeera said that Mr. Frost would be among the "key on-air talent" on the new channel, expected to begin operations in the spring, and quoted him as saying that while his primary audience would be Britain and the United States, "the excitement is that it is also the six billion other inhabitants of the globe."
