THE SEX REBEL OF JESUSLAND, chapter 119

119. THE DEFENSE CONCLUDES ITS CROSS-EXAMINATION.

“I’ll repeat my last question to the witness, before she tried to embarrass us with her eternal tears.” The attorney looked sternly at Rachel. “So we’ve established that you betrayed your friend to save your baby daughter’s life?”

“I volunteered.”

“Why are you being evasive in your answers? Answer yes or no, did you betray your friend to save your daughter’s life?”

“Yes.”

“Have you been successful? Is your baby better?”

“Yes. She is out of danger.”

“So you have succeeded in saving your baby’s life by betraying your friend.”
“Yes. But all I’m doing is my duty. It is the duty of a Beloved to bring any wrongdoing to the attention of the authorities.”

“You are not a Beloved. You were a Scarlet and a V-doll. I shall overlook the fact that you are giving this testimony to get reclassified. That is not an ignoble motive. But to try and save your baby’s life? Do you think your daughter’s life is more important than the unborn man child who is the victim of this trial?”

“No.”

“Yet you agreed to do what you’re doing now to save your daughter’s life?”

“Yes.”

“Would you have turned in your friend if your baby wasn’t sick?”

“I don’t know.”

Rachel was crying, her face contorted.

“You don’t know, but we know that your motivation was to save your daughter’s life, who isn’t worth a single cell of the unborn man child in the case. I have no further questions.”
