Bookplanet: Litblog Co-op first Read This! pick

The Litblog Co-op was going to pick overlooked books to push in their Read This! effort. They've just picked Kate Atkinson's Case Histories. Well, there you go, a pretty well-established crime writer gets the nod. I guess they themselves only notice books that have been quite widely reviewed, otherwise how would they come across what they read in the first place? Perhaps they figured they would help a genre novelist become recognized as a lit writer. Or make a Brit writer better-known in America.
