Synthesizer inventor Robert Moog dies

He was 71. He introduced the instrument made popular by progressive rock bands like Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream (hmm, two of these bands are German). He started by building a theremin in his teens. Obit here.
