Bookplanet: places where I've read books

I read "One Hundred Years of Solitude" one night on the toilet. Yes, I sat down on the toilet with the book and never got up till I finished. I read Albee's "Zoo Story" walking on a college campus in South Africa and nearly got run over by a car because my nose was buried in the book. I read "Lucky Jim" by Kingsley Amis on a bus -- when I looked up, the whole bus was watching me because I was laughing so much. I think I'd like to re-read "Portnoy's Complaint" in a whorehouse. The perfect place to read De Sade would be in a cathedral, say Notre Dame.
