THE SEX REBEL OF JESUSLAND, mini-chapter 68
68. LOVE, BABY
Adam woke up singing.
“I can’t give you anything but love, baby.”
This was it. He was in love with the perfect woman. He could delete his profile on ForTheLoveOfChrist.com. He could settle down. They could make a baby. They could apply for an Accelerated Program to Fully Married Status.
When he got to the office, he bussed Mrs. Veldt on the cheek. She shrieked in surprise and he laughed heartily. He got on the phone and sent Eve the biggest basket of flowers that the Garden of Eden Florists had on offer.
69. THE CONDOM
Eve’s heart sank when the flowers arrived. She read the note.
“For all that was and will be. Adam.”
Heavens. He had it bad.
That night, she dreamed her dream of coming with Adam, this time at night, in her sleep, vividly real. She was walking through a field of flowers. With every step she took, another item of clothing melted off her body. She saw the three trees in front of her. Two trees morphed into wings that flapped onto the tree in the middle. A wind washed through her, warm like breath. The tree in the middle turned from green foliage into a white angel. Her right arm flew up to cover her breasts. Her left hand flew down to cover the spot between her legs. The sun sank rapidly behind the angel. The shadow of its wings passed over her. She gasped and fell as an embrace of feathers caught her.
The next morning the condom slid out of her vagina. She smiled. They had fucked that hard. Two weeks later she became concerned. Her cycle always ran like clockwork. She bought herself a kit. It was too dangerous to go and see her doctor. He would put it on her record. The kit confirmed her worst suspicion. She tested herself again and again, and the results were always the same.
The wrong man. The wrong time.
Should she tell Adam?
That would make him part of her decision. That would make her dependent.
Should she tell anyone? What should she do? She had only a few months to decide. No. Only a few weeks.
